Programme on Environmental Day 2023

GHSS lankerchay observed the environmental day under the theme “BEAT THE PLASTIC POLLUTION “on 5th June 2023.The progamme kick started with environmental pledge by students along with the school staff members. Mr. Khadim Husain Lecturer Environmental Science thronged light on the importance of the day and impressed everyone to be committed to the pledge. He also impressed upon the sensitivity and fragility of our ecosystem and requested all to contribute every small action in whatever capacity in protecting our one earth.

Students marched in the village streets displaying placards and banners conveying messages about the environmental concerns. Moreover, Students along with staff plogged around the premises of school and village and gave awareness to the public lot.

After Lunch students were taken to Farka where agricultural department is reclaiming and forming new agricultural land from the wasteland. There, khadim Sir expounded students the importance of green cover in maintaining ecological balance. He also stressed students to minimize the concretization over green pages.

There, the students from four different houses participated in different competitions like Painting, Debate and Speech on various environmental topics.

In between the various events, many students showed their talents like singing, poem recitation, mimicry etc. Mean while Kazim Helbi Lecturer Urdu recited a poem on environmental degradation and Ali sir entertained the students with his melodious voice.

The progamme concluded with the speech of school principal, Mr. Sadiq Ali, who threw light on the importance of the day and impressed students to adopt a simple lifestyle so that our earth will not get burdened.

The school secretary Miss. Zehra Batool concluded the progamme with the words of thanks and expressed her gratitude towards the teachers for organizing such events and making it successful one.
